Part One
My sister is a 45-year-old single mother who has been working hard for her money. I
know she would not be willing to work tirelessly during her twilight years to squander it away or
lose it to some risky financial investments. On the same note, according to her working condition
in a local restaurant, which cannot allow her to her side jobs, I would wish her money to work
for her to ensure she can cater for her retirement projects (Jiang & Wu, 2018). Since I know her
background so well, I would help her find an optimum stock to invest her money in.
Investing in a stock that is easier to understand would be ideal. (Benzinga, 2012.) This
stock has to be quickly gain because she does not have disposable income to recover from any
financial loss. High risks could come back and hunt her in the end. The investment we choose
has to be a large-cap or intermediate-cap company to avoid too many troubles. If she were at her
youth stage, I would have advised her to go for tech startups with high returns. However, the
startups are risky and appropriate for those who have time and economic disposal to recover.
The second criteria I would apply in helping decide which stock to invest in is
performance and how established they are. I would suggest aiming for a robust past performer
stock. However, I would not restrict her to stores that give double-digit returns. I would focus on
stocks with a clear long-term plan (Jiang & Wu, 2018). The business she invests in should have a
long history of making shareholders rich in the long run.
After deciding on the type of stock, it is essential to focus on the specific company. The
company I vouch for must have a reasonable and straightforward direct business model. My
sister cannot understand most financial metrics and needs a business she can recognize and know
