What is the identity trait or category you are depicting? How would you define it?
My digital collage contains items that I have personally created. The trait that is being
depicted is creativity. According to Psychology Today, “Creativity encompasses the ability to
2019discover new and original ideas, connections, and solutions to problems.” (2019). I am able to
use this trait in every aspects of my life. I have a passion and natural talent to organize, construct,
and design things. This include party invitations, logos for small businesses, chocolate treats, and
more. I take pride in turning ordinary things into something different or transforming someone’s idea
into a physical product.
Why did you choose this trait? Is it a defining part of your identity, or rather an element of
your identity by which you would rather not be characterized?
A friend of mine told me that she feels I can do anything, due to my creativeness. This
helped me realized that being creative is a natural ability that I should embrace. This trait truly
represents the type of person I am. Before I knew and embraced this ability, family and friends knew
the creativity was in me. I am someone who always doubted themselves. I would talk myself out
things due to fear, but my creative talent outshined the doubt. I have recently become comfortable
with putting myself out there because I am confident in my creative abilities.

I enjoy planning special events, making small treats, and designing event
