Identify and describe your personal professional goals and objectives within the parameters
of the field education experience. My field education experience in social work is the
opportunity to apply the principles, ethical values and education thus far gained from the MSW
program. I want to have the ability to recall theories and interventions with clarity and
preciseness for the clients I serve. I have had many years of working in the field of social work
and have worked with clients. I look forward to professionally learning the social work
behaviors of thinking, performing, and acting ethically and with integrity (Birkenmaier & Berg-
Weger, 2018). I look to the professionals at the agency to act as examples or lack thereof of my
professional goals. Professionalism and use of theories to conduct thorough assessments,
treatment plans and to ensure the best continuing care when needed.
Explain how your personal professional goals and objectives that you identified might
be reflected in your agency learning agreement.
My goal is to practice in a real-world learning environment. I appreciate having a field
supervisor who will lessen the opportunity to cause harm towards clients and have the
opportunity to maximize my learning experiences. I have found the need to have boundaries
and remain focused on the learning experience. I feel dreadful this internship experience may
not develop a long term professional relational. When problems arise in practicum between
students and their field instructors, they may be rooted in the interaction of the students’ and
instructors’ learning styles (Birkenmaier & Berg-Weger, 2018). I have a very high expectation
and moderate experience with very high functioning social work agencies. I simply want to
operate to the best of my ability and learn what the best of another’s ability is. I want to grow
professionally. My professional goals and objectives are aligned with the concentration year
