Abstract
This is the proposed Quality Management Plan (QMP) for the Suburban Homes
Construction Project, to ensure the organization’s expansion into the southern United States
while maintaining quality assurance. The QMP is an overview of the applicable guidelines,
processes, and policies that can be implemented to accomplish the objectives of quality. Also,
the QMP describes the resources and tasks required for Suburban Homes’ leadership to
accomplish the defined quality goals and objectives for their construction projects.
Quality Objectives
The quality objectives of all Suburban Homes’ construction projects include:
• The project is intended to meet the client's needs and requirements and only 5%
variation is allowed i.e. 5% cost and schedule variance is accommodated.
•The project should comply with the standards set for the environment and safety
requirements.
•The project should be completed within the deadline and budget specified and
assigned.
• The workers safety and secure environment are prioritized during the construction.
•The new house should be constructed according to the requirements and scope defined
during the planning phase and would be built using the latest strategies and
approaches that prevent the damage of houses from natural disasters i.e. earthquake
and flood etc.
Quality Standards
The standards of quality would be dependent upon the quality objectives. It also
depends upon the stakeholder’s requirements. High-quality material is used for the house
interior/exterior, safety and longevity should be ensued along with completing the construction within timeline and cost assigned. Similarly, the same quality standards defined
for the company for house construction as they should follow the schedule and budget of the
project (Singh, 2019). The fee or payment for the workers and laborers along with a safe and
secure working environment should be the priority and they should comply with construction
rules, regulations, and laws. Defined standards for quality should be specific with regards to
house or building height, material for the insulation, requirements for location, cement used
during the construction, etc.
