Executive Team as Audience
The executive team requested the previous manager to construct a researched
presentation on how a migration from on-premises API to a cloud-based API could help
streamline data center costs. The manager’s presentation did not demonstrate the savings from a
real-estate point of view. For example, slide four demonstrated employee savings but not any
savings from ceasing to house the data center vs. cloud server costs. The presenter could have
continued the title of slide four to the next slide demonstrating savings from housing costs such
as property taxes, heating and cooling costs and system upgrades and maintenances. He/She
should have ensured the benefits were bulleted along with functional benefits. This would allow
the executives to streamline the information that is pertinent to their needs.
Employees as the Audience
The presentation touched on some benefits of cloud migration, but the slides were
unorganized. For example, slid five should have been placed as the first slide to ensure that
everyone was on the same page knowing what the cloud was or meant for the company and
employees. Slide three stated general benefits but not how they would directly affect the
employee. Information such as new technologies, interface changes/benefits and workload
