Discussion Question: Week 1

NURS 6351

Discussion Question: Week 1

Beginning a career as a nurse educator is both exciting and intimidating because of the

role change and new responsibilities that come with the job. Per Dr. Valiga, it can be

challenging to educate others in the field of the educator’s expertise, and a plan needs to be

Walden University’s nursing educator program (Walden University, 2020).

The three learning outcomes listed below follow the SMART acronym. Goals need to

be “specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time specific” (Bergren, 2020). In addition,

each goal will include a mode of assessment and the tools needed to achieve the intended

emergency department (ED) nurses on documenting a full set of vital signs within thirty
