Phoenix Fire Electronics (PFE) is an organization of mid-level size. They sell
technological products. They have 25 stores and are growing at a nice pace. Currently, they are
in two states and have a revenue of $15 Million. They would like to expand in the outlying
states around them over the next 5 years.

Business Needs and Desired Outcomes
The current objective of PFE is to grow the size of their business, expand in the market
share and its’ overall consumer totals. This type of growth in turn will bring about increased
revenue and profit for the company. IT will play an important part in this new venture.
Technology must be brought in to help keep things organized. This technology must be able to
help track the new sales increase, secure all the customers data, keep track of inventory, and be
able to report all this new information from each new site, back to the main office. Linking all
the data from employee information and payroll to consumer purchases and inventory numbers,
is an important and sensitive task.
PFE is looking to be able to integrate all sites. This will allow for the company to
properly track and assess the needs of all stores. Finding the right system for this is important.
This new system will need to be able to handle all staffing information as well as customer data
and the inventory and sales of each store. The link back to the CEO will provide him with up-to-
date information for decision making purposes.

PFE is in a crucial point. The recommendation for the new system would be to add in a
CRM and ERP to work together. They will together help to control visibility and work as a
cohesive unit. The ERP helps to centralize all the process such as orders, scheduling and
workflow for the company. The CRM will customer data and information as well as their order
history which is good for future marketing efforts. The combination of the two will give a
complete view of the customer, improve efficiency, eliminate unwanted data duplication, allow
for employee collaboration, and improve sales (Hughes, 2020).

Project Scope
The scope of the project will involve standardizing all data across the company. This is
so that each system will be able to talk to each other. Old data and customer information that is
outdated will need to be cleaned up. This will help eliminate any extra information that is no
longer of use. Then the platforms can now be integrated for a better and more efficient PFE so
that they can continue to grow in customers and revenues.
