Description: This use case describes how the Customer logs into the website, browses products, and places orders.
Primary Actor: Customer
Trigger: Customer Visits Company Website
Preconditions: 1. Customer Username / Password is Authenticated.
2. Website / CRM Systems are online and active.
3. Products are available for sale.
Normal Course: 1. Customer visits website and logs in.
2. Customer uses website search features to browse products.
3. Customer adds products to cart for purchase.
4. Website / CRM System communicate order information.
5. Once all products are in the cart, the customer enters payment information, choice of credit card or
PayPal payment options.
6. Once payment is authorized, transaction is processed.
7. CRM sends email to Inventory department.
8. CRM sends email to Shipping department.
9. CRM sends email to Customer.
10. Shipping label is then created in the system and automatically sent to the Shipping Dept. to attach to
product order when shipped.
11. Once product is boxed to be shipped, an automatic email is sent to customer with tracking link.
12. Customer can also review account information, past orders, etc.
Postconditions: 1. Customer order is placed.
2. Product is shipped to the customer.
