Unit 14 – Psychological Disorders Task 2

The obvious benefits to a partnership between the different
practitioners would be that, if all different practitioners are kept
up to date with the care received by the patient then it mean s
that the practitioners will be able to inform the rest of the
practitioners involved, so that they also will be able to further
increase the level of care. This will help to aid recovery and
resources used. Not only this but the involvement of NICE could
also improve the care provided to the patient of either
physiological disorder, and it could permanently improve the
care given by implementing changes to the care pathways.
The system works well as a means of providing care to those in
need, especially when all aspect's work together, and all
agencies co-operate to ensure the correct treatment of the
patient is being taken. Monitoring and reviewing care can be a
big part of healthcare, especially when dealing with disorders
as potentially lethal as coronary diseases and leukemia, every
aspect of the treatment and process needs to be controlled and
overlooked by other agencies to ensure that a good grounding
is taken, so as to ensure the best care is being recieved by the
patient. This may mean sending off copies of the treatments
planned to be given, as this enables the other agencies to
confer and recommend other possible courses of action which
maybe the first organisation hadn't thought of, and then after
the treatment has taken place, the other organisations should
be told exactly what treatment has taken place, so they can go
about planning the best follow up treatment to the treatment
provided. There may also be a need to suddenly change the
care strategy drastically as a patient’s condition may change
without warning, in such a situation it would be beneficial if all
organisations involved with the patient informed the other
agencies so that everyone is kept up to date with procedures
and the patient’s condition so as to best plan the next course of
action, this would be beneficial in the scenario as both
disorders are disorders that can change severity very quickly
and keeping all healthcare providers in the know with
conditions would enable them to provide effective care for the
patient. National Standards, are a policy that controls the
