This essay contains the arguments between Jaron Lanier and Wendell berry about the
implications of using technology whether the argument is valid or they have some benefits or
not. In both the essays there are certain arguments from which I completely agree with it and I
am also discussing my opinion in it. In this essay addiction with cell phone and social media is
very highlighted because addiction creates lots of problems in everyone’s life sometime a person
will get in depression also. My personal experience when I was in higher school the social media
affected my whole studies because I use to watch it till long hours and this made me more
addicted to it so this spoil my grades and also I started learning bad things from watching tik-tok
videos and also some Instagram reels. At that time my parents took my phone for couple of
months and then I come out from this addiction if my parents didn’t guide me at that time so my
whole carrier will be spoiled. Same things is now happening with small children’s that their
parents are giving them cell phones in such a small age that they became stubborn and not
listening their parents. They started ignoring all this and started addicted more with social media.
They spread nuisance everywhere and this way all the generation started doing the same thing
and this soils everyone’s life. Same thing the author discussed in their essay also that it also
affect personal relationship and also it creates trust issues among the people. Although it creates
negative comparisons with other people and also their relationships. The people personally get
jealous while looking some other person and this all creates fight between them. Because of all
