home of Fugu (the fish containing the toxin)..
● The toxin is located inside blowfish, and Japanese Pufferfish, when
improperly prepared, consumers receive the deadly toxin.
● Over 3,800 restaurants in Japan alone serve the fish increasing the chance of
being improperly prepared.
● The fish became a cultural dish, spreading all throughout Asia, then to
Canada, Australia, then the Western areas.
