HBSS Terms QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS 100%
CORRECT | UPDATED 2024-2025
ePO Server - ANSWER The GUI that we use to query reports, monitor the
status of products on a machine, and create/implement policies for the systems
on our network. Essentially this is how we control what products go on what
systems and what type of rules each system has to follow based on how we
configure them in the ePO.

Agent Handler - ANSWER The load balancers for the ePO. In terms of capability
it is basically an ePO without the GUI to work with. They do all the same things
the ePO does but we don't log into them and configure things like we do on the
ePO. They pull the configurations we implement on the ePO and push them down
to the individual systems or SADR's.

SADR - ANSWER A server found at every MOB which also acts as a load
balancer but with less capabilities. These servers push updates from the Master
Repository.

SQL Server - ANSWER Essentially our database for the ePO. For example, when
you add a new system to the ePO network, all the data we gather on that system
is stored on the SQL server. Then when you go the System Tree in the ePO and
search for the system name, or another criteria about that system, the ePO pulls
that data from the SQL server and loads it to your GUI on the ePO.

Database - ANSWER Resides within the SQL Server. While they are technically
different, they are all one in the same. The key difference to understand is that the
database is where the information is stored and the SQL server is how you pull the
data from database and query it to the ePO GUI.
