Task 2 Audience 2 Justifications
Audience selected: Response Team
Deliverable format: PowerPoint Presentation

Section G: In this section, you are going to explain why the content of your Audience 2
written deliverable is relevant to the audience’s role.
Describe how the content of the deliverable addresses what the audience needs to know.
Provide supporting details from the scenario.

The content was created for the response team and associated employees. Each slide was
broken down to provide audience specific and requested details. Not every employee is going
to understand the type of attack and what it means to the institution, so those details were
covered on slide 2 in the Incident Summary. Thereafter the presentation breaks down what the
employee responsibilities and tasks are moving forward on slides 3 and 4. The response team
will understand how to communicate these tasks and what the tasks entail. The goal is to allow
for open dialogue during the presentation (slide 5) and afterwards to ensure there are no gaps
in understanding the importance of cybersecurity within the institution.

Justify why specific information was included or excluded from the deliverable based on the
audience’s role.

The original PowerPoint included information that was not appropriate for the response team
audience.

The information that was included in the new presentation was specific to what the team
needed for this segment of the institution. The presentation was shortened to only include the
following: a brief understanding of what the incident entailed and how the attacker
accomplished their task (slide 2), what the action items were for the response team to
communicate to the other employees (slide 3), emphasis on what the plan would look like to
ensure future mitigation (slide 4) and finally an open ended collaborative type slide (slide 5) to
answer and ask questions to ensure the team fully understood the objectives.

The information that was excluded from the deliverable was the additional detail on the
financials, containment strategy, mitigation approach, how customers would be notified and
overall assessment details. This level of detail wasn’t required by the response team nor should
they see this level of detail according to their role within the organization. Slides 2, 4 and 5
were completely removed. Slides 3, 6, 7 and 8 were modified to be more appropriate to the
audience.

Section H: Justify your deliverable format.
