RO System Review

How many filters or Steps are there in our RO System? - correct answer 1-
Sediment Filter

2 - Carbon Filter

3 - RO Membrane (to the tank)

4 - UV Light

5- Carbon filter

What is the roll of each stage of the RO System? - correct answer Sediment
filter - is used to remove lager particulate from the water.

Carbon filter - is used to remove Chlorine, Fluromiine and other chemicals that produce a bad taste or
smell, i.e. sulphur. The Carbon filter is also critical to the RO membranes life. To protect the RO
membrane, we need to remove all chlorine from the water, if we don't the choline will eat through the
membrane, so this is very important and needs to be change every 90 days.

RO membrane - The RO Membrane does the heavy filtration and reduces the particulate in the water by
95%. For example if you starting TDS are 100 then your ending TDS's will be 5. If your starting TDS's are
200 then your ending TDS's will be 10, etc.

Tank - after the water leaves the membrane it is stored in the tank.

UV light - Since the water is unprotected in the tank, i.e. pure water (no chlorine to protect it) in theory,
bacteria could grow in. the tank, so, when the water leaves the tank it goes through a UV light to
instantly kill any bacteria.

Carbon Filter - The last step after the UV light is the carbon filter. The carbon filter is used to remove any
left over taste from the plastic water tank.

How many gallons is the water tank on each model? - correct answer IM600 -
IM1000 = 26 gallons

IM1500 - IM2500 - 100 gallons

KI810 - 100 gallons

KI510 - 26 gallons
