The ideal chapter supports the objectives of the Fraternity and works as a unit to provide value to
its members and the surrounding community. Members of an ideal chapter are open-minded and
willing to hear the viewpoints of others in order to make decisions for the greater good. Ideal
chapters maintain open communication among members (collegiate and alumni) and with
national leaders and Central Office staff. Such a chapter will dutifully sponsor programs and
activities as expected by national standards and its members will act in a manner that reflects
credit not only to oneself, but to the organization.

In your own words, what is the mission of the Delta Sigma Pi Leadership Foundation?
The Regional Vice President appoints the District Director. Chris Leto
Created in 1978, the DSP Leadership fund was merged with the DSP educational foundation
to create the Delta Sigma Pi Leadership Foundation. The leadership foundation provides
the momentum to help fulfill the lifelong commitment of Delta Sigma Pi. The DSP
Leadership Foundation raises philanthropic funds in a variety of ways. The key functions of
this include granting funds to support the fraternities strategic priorities, financially support
the Fraternity's premier educational programs, solicit philanthropic support to sustain DSP
at a high level, and administer the academic scholarships program to reward educational
programs. The Leadership foundation also is in charge of the chapter leadership fund,
presidents' academy fund, lead fund, the deltasig annual fund, endowment funds, academic
scholarship program, and charitable organization.
