### Mitosis



**Definition**: Mitosis is a kind of cell division that outcomes in two indistinguishable daughter
cells, each having similar number of chromosomes as the parent cell. It is used for growth,
repair, and asexual reproduction.



#### Phases of Mitosis:

1. **Prophase**:

- Chromosomes gather and become noticeable.

- Atomic layer separates.

- Shaft filaments begin to frame.



2. **Metaphase**:

- Chromosomes line up in the center of the cell.

- Shaft filaments connect to the centromeres of the chromosomes.



3. **Anaphase**:

- Sister chromatids are pulled separated to inverse sides of the cell.



4. **Telophase**:

- Atomic films begin to change around each arrangement of chromosomes.

- Chromosomes start to decondense.



5. **Cytokinesis**:

- The cell parts into two girl cells.

- Every girl cell has an indistinguishable arrangement of chromosomes.
