Here we have, what consists of a Presentation, Practice and Production (PPP) lesson
plan for 3 days. The context is of a Chinese debt collecting call / contact Centre.
Subjects: Bank, Chinese debt collection agency, Debt collection, Account, Debit,
Contact / Call Centre.
Students who pay for their own classes tend to be more motivated and interested.:
Flashcards, Phonetics, Script Work and Role play.
Objective: The lesson objective is that by the end of the lessons, learners will feel
comfortable using vocabulary for Banking purposes when asking and answering
questions.
Assumptions: Money is a commodity that is used on a daily basis, therefore learning
vocabulary for Banking purposes will allow learners to use English banks.
Anticipated Problems
Learners may cancel at the last moment because of unforeseen problems, they could
be delayed due to an important business call at the office, or the transport was late
picking them up. Some students may be paying for there own classes. Students who
pay for their own classes tend to be more motivated and interested. While others who
are being sent by the company, may take this as time off from work.
Solutions
A cancellation policy with the company in advance for example, ask them to make sure
they inform you 24 or 48 hours in advance. It’s not unusual to prepare for a group of
eight to six learners and have only one person showing up. Try and create activities that
will work on a one to one.
