ASSIGNMENT 50
INSTRUCTIONS
The following activities are all observation based and need to take place in any grade within the
Foundation Phase (Gr1-3). I suggest you read through all the activities from
TPF2601/103/0/2020 Assignment 50 which is in the form of a portfolio/workbook as well as your
TPF2601/104/0/2020 Assignment 51 which is a portfolio/workbook before your teaching
practice begins in order to gauge how much is expected of you during the 5 week teaching
practice period, and help you organise your time effectively. It would also be wise to share these
activities with your mentor teacher in an effort to plan when certain observations may be
possible so as to synchronise these with the timetable and weekly planning for that 5 week
period.
This is a fill-in workbook, meaning you must answer the questions in the space provided – use
the space as well as the mark allocation as a guide to guide you on how much you must write.
In questions where a yes/no answer is required along with an explanation, one mark is
generally awarded for writing yes/no and the remaining marks go towards how you have
substantiated this.
Make sure you try and submit your workbook online on myUnisa. This will avoid assignments
going missing and not reaching Unisa. Read the 101 regarding all the submission requirements
of assignments and the tracking of your assignments. You have to keep a copy of the
completed assignment.
Good luck and enjoy your first teaching experience!
