You could answer each of the questions in one of two ways (as was the case with assignment 1).
Option 1: Academic essay
You write an academic essay in accordance with the assessment criteria and guidelines as
communicated.
It is compulsory to use the prescribed sources in Unit 3. You are encouraged to identify and use other
academic sources as well.
Option 2: Evaluating Artificial Intelligence
(We may want to refine this option on the basis of the responses in Assignment 1. Ensure that you
use the latest version of this document).
This option allows the opportunity to work with and evaluate the role of Artificial Intelligence in the
writing of an academic essay. You could use one or more AI programmes such as (ChatGPT).
It is a prerequisite that you familiarise yourself with the debates and guidelines about the ways AI
could be used in academic writing. You could use this document as a starting point.
