Anorexia Nervosa à eating disorder characterised by recurrent food refusal, leading
to dangerously low body weight
• Intense fear of weight gain and desire to be thin (begins with dieting)
• Subtypes: Restricting & Binge-eating-purging
• Medical consequences:
o Leads to organ damage (cardiovascular problems)
o Amenorrhea (loss of periods)

• Psychological treatment:
