The first thing that was done was appropriate PPE was worn; this includes a suit and
gloves to protect the clothes we were wearing and our skin. Before anyone should step
foot inside the crime scene, it is the first attending officer's job to take steps analytically and
carefully towards the crime scene. Numbers were put on each piece of evidence before col-

was found, a note and drugs (weed and cocaine) was found near the body. All these
pieces of evidence were carefully placed in an evidence bag. Not only that but there

swabbed carefully whilst wearing gloves and the cotton bud was put into an evidence
bag.
