Dialogue
Decided on 2D animation
Animation Should be positive and not negative

The Mood board will be colours of the park
bright green grass and brown trees, bright
sunny day (yellow sun and blue sky, the bike
will be red to make it stand out and the pebble
will be gray to make it so the colours aren’t
clashing.
When? Due date is 16th December 2022
Where? Will be saved on OneDrive and be made using
Adobe Animate (2D) or Maya, 3DS Max (3D)

Animation will be taking place in a park and the
optimization could be improving the animation
and making sure the colour is bright and the
story flows well and is not too choppy.


Planned Length and Story Arc Planned Story
30 seconds (Exposition and inciting accident) George will be the character on a bike riding fast
and wearing a cycling helmet but doesn’t see the
incoming pebble
30 Seconds (Rising action and Climax) George keeps riding along looking at the trees, A
pebble in the park gets in the path of George’s
bike and he hits the ground injuring himself, a
bystander sees it.
1 Minute (Falling Action) Then they start talking about why wearing a
helmet is important with a brain that looks happy
if the person isn’t wearing a helmet “The brain
will cry once it gets injured without a helmet since
it has no protection!”
2 Minutes (Conclusion) George gets back on his bike and goes out of the
park with kids cheering and clapping with flags
that say, “Don’t forget to wear a cycling helmet
next time you go to the park!” and George then
exits the park on his bike to go home.

This is a timeline of the weeks for my animation, how I planned and created the animation is
detailed throughout the 15 weeks displayed here.

Week 5 Understood the importance of planning and the
purpose of the animation, created a Mood
board and Storyboard design for the animation.
Week 6 Understanding bones in 3DS Max, creating
bones to bend and manipulate shapes
Week 7 Continuation of learning 3D in class using
Cameras and lights to create
perspectives/scenes within 3DS Max
Week 8 Wrote legislations that I might need to consider
when creating the animation in question.
Week 9 Learning Adobe Animate and creating 2D
Tweens, learnt motion tweening and classic
tweening.
Week 10 Finished alternate storyboard and mood-board
designs which showcase my previous idea
before I settled with the current version.
Week 11 Created Story Arc and Length of the story as
well as explanation of what will happen within
it.
Week 12 Started on Animating the first scene of my
animation and did in class work separating an
image to create specific parts
Week 13 Started to create original assets for my second
scene which includes a pebble, a bystander
(stickman) and included a background already
made.
Week 14 Completed animation and ensured it is close to
4 minutes, test plan completed this week too.
Week 15 Gathered Feedback through form and
optimized the animation (background etc.),
justifying and evaluating how the animation
and design meet the requirements set by the
client.

Legislation and Ethical Issues of Animation

There is a multitude of legal issues I will need to consider, especially in design and developing for my
animation here is an example of legislations that might affect me.

Copyright – I need to make sure that my animation has no copyright issues and that I successfully
credit any assets I intend to use by creating an asset table and the source of where I got it from.

, Licensing Requirements – To ensure costs are kept low I will need to consider the licensing
requirements for any assets I plan to use, this means that if I use any brands I need to fully disclose
that I either have paid for the assets within my assets table or have been given access to the assets
for free and that I do not abuse these rules by using my animation for commercial use for example.
