rights and private law. On the basis of Collins’ and Mak’s introductory texts, a number of
questions will be elaborated. These questions will form the basis for the further study of cases
and literature in the coming weeks.
The questions that will be addressed in the course as a whole include:

• What justi cations may be given for the application of these rights in private law?
• Through which techniques can human rights impact private law?
