Unit 1 E Investigate the role and contribution of innovation and enterprise to
business success
, Slide 1:
● Welcome to my presentation on under armour
● Under Armour is a well known American sports equipment company that
manufactures footwear, sports and casual attire. It is said to be the 12th most popular
clothing and footwear brand and the 22nd most famous.
● The founder is Kevin Plank who is an American billionaire businessman and
philanthropist(someone who has the objective to benefit the well being of the people).
● Under armour is known to have some of the best tops and shorts due to them having
a variety of choice through type and material.
● Fact about under armour: Under Armour's biggest market is in the US, but its biggest
team deal is in the UK, with the London football team Tottenham Hotspur.
● Currently, they are also ranked as the 3rd biggest sportswear brand in the world.
Slide 2:
● Under Armour are constantly innovating as they are always looking for new ways to
improve their sales or improve the company as a whole.
● This is done by improving products and giving them new features or even improving
their internal businesses which is one of their biggest methods of improving their
overall business performance.
● The improvements in products are usually very different and differ from other
companies as they will improve them via scientific methods such as their HEATGEAR
and COLDGEAR which are clothing which is specifically made with x or y material to
enhance sports performance which is key for a lot of athletes.
Slide 3:
● The business is also able to innovate via improvement of other factors like the sports
facilities and young athlete training programs instead of just the sports clothing
industry which therefore develops the business and helps it to improve and increase
in size and profits.
● They will also be constantly looking for ways to improve on recent opportunities they
have taken as they will want every part of their business to be up to the standard they
want. This can even be done with hope which is risky but can be very profitable in the
process if successful.
