Healthcare policy refers to initiatives, strategies, and acts that were made within a community to
accomplish particular healthcare objectives. There are negatives and positives for many crises.
For this pandemic, the most significant negative is people losing their lives, their jobs, increase
drug, alcohol abuse, and mental issues. There is also economic destruction where our
communities will suffer financially with price and tax increase to help offset the loss. In UN
News, 2020, “All this is understandable, given the many uncertainties facing people, the UN
policy brief notes, before identifying the growing use of addictive coping strategies, including
alcohol, drugs, tobacco, and online gaming” (para. 9). The positives I see would be a decrease in
