Vocational Context)
your supervisor and your own interest within the field of
chemistry, biology, or physics.
You will produce and present a plan for your project proposal to
your supervisor along with notes in a logbook.
You will present a working plan to your tutor and hand in a
logbook of supporting notes.
The presentation will describe a realistic working plan
considering any constraints. The plan must be written so that
your supervisor would be able to carry it out without referring to
you for help.
It should include:
Task 1: Task 1
a timeline of tasks (start and completion dates, and
milestones)
methods for all procedures in the plan
resources such as participants, materials, equipment, and
instruments
contingency plans and remedial actions to deal with any
issues e.g., time constraints and depleted resources
any relevant risk assessment for the practical
experiments and other health and safety considerations
any ethical considerations such as consents and

Theory: From researching about the maggots, I have a general
conclusion that the maggots will turn towards the dark side of maze
as this is like their natural habitat. Also, the maggots will also start in
the light which could also make me say a few would go towards the
light side as that is what they have started with.
In the maze designed I would have to expect that there would be an
equal number of invertebrates that turn to the dark side rather than
the light side and this depends on how many maggots we use in this
situation its one by one but if there was multiple would they all choose
the same way or not? I would think they would all follow one
another, and this will lead them to go into the dark side.
Variables:
independent - the light or darkness in the maze
Dependent - how many maggots are in each column
Control - use the same maze or the same amount of maggots
Contingency plan – if my original plan does not work, I will continue to make this new plan and
method.
