in this scenario, I chose how my behavior affects me by not knowing how to say no. for example,
, with my brother because no matter what I do for him, he never appreciates me or changes the
way that he is towards our family. I need to address this because I will always be in contact with
my brother, and because I believe that many people need to hit rock bottom for them to change.
Monday
I am currently the guardian of my 17-year-old brother, Danilo. Recently, he is doing bad
in school and getting low grades to the point that he is failing some courses. On Monday, we
were at home having dinner around 6pm. I ask my brother how he was doing in school. He
replied that he is doing fine as always. However, earlier in the morning I received an email about
his report card stating that he was failing. After we finished eating, I went to his room so that we
can talk about how some privileges such as watching TV, playing video games, and using his
phone will be taken away until his grades go up. At that moment, I was very mad because he lied
to me, and because he has no excuse for why he is failing. However, he tries to convince me that
he needed the phone to do his homework, and that he only needed to turn in some assignments so
that he can get on track. I told him that this issue was serious and that he does not need the phone
because he has a computer. I told that until I see that he is passing all his classes I will give him
the phone.

On Tuesday, I went to work to the hospital. Around 5pm, one of my co-workers (the head
nurse) asked me to work an extra 4 hours because they were short of staff. I explained to her that
I needed to do homework and that I might not finish on time. However, she insisted so much that
