The global societal issue chosen for the final research assignment is a lack of education. Further
research reveals that a lack of education is the reason that many children are suffering in society
today. Poverty is a direct effect of a lack of education that stems from education issue in low
income public school and families.
Provide a clear and concise thesis statement that includes a solution to the global societal
issue.
A lack of education harms everyone across the nation, therefore, causing many people to live-in
low-income community which leads to poverty. A solution for a lack of education is training,
support, and the recruit teachers with the proper education and academic certificate to teach by
the state standards. Also, provide state aid and learning tools the teachers need to implement the
proper curriculum and lesson plans to fit the education needs of each child.
Explain how this global societal issue impacts a specific population.
A specific population are low income communities because the schools are low funded, and the
teachers are unpaid. The schools are overcrowded with children and teachers working without
proper tools and education to meet the learning needs of the students.

surprising on the topic.

Learning: Important Lessons for Educators. Poverty is a critical issue that effects the outcome of
a child’s educational future. The statistical data found is that the even if the children are high-
achievers but because of their socioeconomic status these children still are at risk of academic
failure in the future. The article states that only 28% of high-achieving first-graders come from
low-income families—and by fifth grade, only 56% of those students remain in the top quartile
compared to 69% of higher income peers (Boatwright & Midcalf, 2019, p. 52). Therefore,
children that live in poverty are likely to perform poorly and have academic deficient.
