WORKBOOK ASSIGNMENT 1Yes. I recently visited a super mart where I chose a product, I considered best for me. As I
was about to put the product in my trolly, a salesperson standing at a nearby rack came to
me, asked me a few questions as to what am I looking for and why I took that very specific
product and based on my answers, suggested me another product, explaining in detail why
I should prefer his suggested product over the one I just chose. I was reluctant but ended
up taking his suggested product. As I was about to leave, I found the guy looking in my

, direction and laughing about something with another guy which made me angry as I
thought he had fooled me into buying the product and is now laughing it out with a
colleague so I went to the counter and asked for the manager to make a complain. It turned
out that the very same guy was the manager and was not laughing at me but at a picture
placed on a rack just behind me and the product he suggested me was infact quite suitable
for me and was worth purchasing. The experience left me guilt-ridden and I apologized.
I assumed the manager to be the salesperson, trying to enhance sales by selling me the
product which was not my first choice and then laughing it off with a colleague.
I would try to be less hasty in reaching the conclusions and taking actions on the basis of
half-seen, half-heard situations.
Yes. I have been to different regions in my country. The behavior and gaze of the residents
of those regions was strange on detecting that we belonged to a different region of the
country.
No. I never expected such behavior. I think it’s quite rude to have such a strange behavior
with the people of the very same country regardless of the region. People should act more
welcoming, kind and respectable.
People whom I met thought that being from a different region, I would have specific eating
habbits and food preferences and routine which was not true and I somewhat thought the
same that proved wrong too.
