Shane

The situation I have decided to address is about Shane who has a difficult time

separating from his mother each morning. At drop off, he clings to her and screams

uncontrollably. After she leaves, Shane continues to scream and cry until you are able to

Parents and express to them how important it is to have a routine in the mornings when

dropping him off and it needs to be consistent. I will explain to her that she needs to give

him a hug and kiss and reassure him that she will be back to pick him up once school is

over. I will ask them to send something to school that usually comforts them at home.

Once the Parent’s leave I will begin to have interaction with him so that he can begin to
